Julie Chrisley, of the popular reality TV show “Chrisley Knows Best,” has been serving her seven-year sentence in the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, for a little over two weeks now. Julie Chrisley’s daughter, Savannah, gave an update on her mother’s time in prison during her “Unlocked” podcast. According to Savannah, Julie Chrisley has been adapting well and is keeping busy. She’s been going to church, working, and playing Spades, which is a family favorite game. Savannah says it brings her comfort to know that her mother is making friends and has found ways to keep herself occupied while in prison.

Savannah also gave an update on her father, Todd Chrisley, who is serving a 12-year sentence in the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. Todd has been working in the chapel and has been using his time to positively impact the lives of his fellow inmates. He has been an inspiration to many and has been helping them to find hope and spirituality through his encouragement to know Jesus. Savannah expressed how proud she is of her father’s work and how it brings her peace of mind knowing that he is having a positive impact on others.

While both Todd and Julie Chrisley are doing well, there are still tough days. Savannah acknowledged that there are challenges and struggles, but she finds comfort in the fact that they have each other, as well as their friends in prison, to help them through it. The family is also able to communicate with Todd through phone calls, emails, and visits, which helps make the time go by more quickly.

It’s worth mentioning that Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion charges in June 2022, but they have maintained their innocence. They are in the process of filing an appeal and are hopeful that they will be exonerated. Regardless of the outcome, Savannah is grateful for the support system her parents have in prison and finds comfort in knowing that they are in good spirits.
