Apple has partnered in sponsoring an impressive 300-foot high animation featuring Wallace & Gromit, projected every day onto the walls and chimneys of Battersea Power Station, which serves as the company’s UK headquarters.

This festive season, Wallace & Gromit will illuminate London’s Battersea Power Station. “Wallace & Gromit are an iconic and cherished pair, and we’re thrilled to have them bringing this festive cheer to Londoners this year,” remarked Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “The talent and creativity of Aardman shine through, highlighting how they’ve leveraged the most advanced iPhone we’ve ever created to craft something so cheerful.”
Each frame was captured using ProRAW technology and subsequently transformed into a 6K video.
Aardman, the acclaimed animation studio behind Wallace & Gromit, employed the iPhone 16 Pro Max to create a captivating short animation that reimagines the towering 101-meter-high chimneys overlooking the River Thames. The iPhone 16 Pro Max was secured on motorized mounts to capture dual perspectives of the Christmas trees, resulting in a total of 6,000 frames. Eight iPhone 16 Pro Max units utilized the 5x Telephoto camera to capture high-resolution images in ProRAW format, which were then meticulously sequenced to produce an extraordinary 6K video.
Last year, Apple relocated its UK headquarters to this iconic site, accompanied by the grand opening of a new Apple Store. Plans for this move had been underway since at least 2016.
