The upcoming iPhone model is anticipated to launch later this year, yet numerous rumors have started surfacing regarding its design and camera features. Earlier speculations indicated that the iPhone 17 Pro series would feature a revamped rear camera layout with a distinct bump. Recently, 3D renders released by Jon Prosser offer a glimpse of what the finalized version of these devices may resemble.
iPhone 17 Pro Camera Design Speculations Featured in Video
In a fresh video on the Front Page Tech channel, Prosser unveiled renders crafted based on insights from his contacts. Contrary to prior renderings, Prosser states that the positioning of the three lenses at the back will remain unchanged; however, the design will transform significantly. Instead of a square bump, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to have a broader “camera bar” on its rear side.
The bar depicted in the renders is noticeably taller than previous iterations. The three lenses are still located on the left side, while the LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor have shifted to the right. Earlier concepts suggested a horizontal alignment for the three lenses.
A recent leak hinted at the rear design of the anticipated iPhone 17 Air, featuring an expansive camera bar stretching across the device’s back.
Prosser also mentioned that earlier reports may have misinterpreted the idea of the phone’s back having a “two-tone” design. He claims that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro will maintain a single color, but the camera bar will be rendered in a significantly darker shade. Sources have also indicated that the iPhone 17 Pro will be lighter than its predecessors.
Nonetheless, it’s essential to approach these rumors cautiously. Although Prosser has provided accurate information regarding future Apple devices previously, he has also presented supposed renders of products like a new Mac mini and the iPhone 14 that ultimately turned out to be inaccurate.
Despite this, the ongoing buzz implies that Apple is actively contemplating modifications to the appearance of the iPhone’s rear camera. Whether it will maintain a horizontal alignment or transition to a broader bar layout remains uncertain. We may need to wait a little longer until we see the initial cases designed for the iPhone 17 series.
