Oculus Quest 2 is the first largest update for standalone digital reality headphones. Through this update of Oculus Quest 2, they are fulfilling the few numbers of promises that they had made within the previous month during the grand launch of this brand new and enhanced headset.
The recent headlines are all regarding the new functions and features, especially the support rate of 90 Hz. This new refresh rate of 90 Hz is now enabled to be implemented across all the apps in the system by itself. Though the Oculus link had been separated from beta, the 90 Hz refresh rate will be automatically implemented.
Oculus Quest 2 Features
The Oculus company has released a statement regarding their new additions and developments. The older Oculus Quest 2 version had a refresh rate of 72 Hz and could not be deactivated, since, it was automatically activated. On the other hand, the new developments of Quest 2 titles have an inbuilt support system of 90 Hz and can be fully controlled by the users.
Several other Oculus Quest 2 titles including Vacation Simulator, Superhot, Beat Saber, Echo VR, Space Pirate Trainer, Nx, and Job Simulator will also be updated with the refresh rate of 90 Hz very soon. Nonetheless, Rez Infinite and Tetris Effect have not been able to make it to the list of Oculus Quest 2 system updates. Hopefully, they will also be included in the list and be able to support the new rate of a refresh.
As soon as you connect the PC to your Oculus Quest 2 using the Link cable of Oculus or any other reasonably priced USB 3.0 connector which is perfectly compatible, you can easily toggle the Oculus application on your computer or laptop that will range between 72, 80, and 90 Hz.
While using the function of the link, you will experience a much better and enhanced quality of visual, as Oculus had confirmed earlier. Besides, the profile of automatic graphics settings has been reverted towards the GPU taxation to provide improved performance.
Also, users will now be able to make their required adjustments to get a better image with enhanced resolution quality. Along with that, users can also make necessary changes in the novel interface to make changes in the settings in the graphical category within the application itself.
In the upcoming week, Oculus has already made arrangements to launch Oculus Move, a fitness tracking app. This app will assemble the data from the games of VR and you can easily check the number of calories burned, time spent on workout and physical activities, so on, and so forth. People limited within the space of their home due to the pandemic will find this app extremely useful.
Oculus has a few other additions coming soon.
Oculus Quest 2 is a viable and profitable deal for all.
