Google Photos

You heard it right! Unfortunately, very soon you will have to start paying to use Google Photos.

The app is known for providing unlimited high-quality photo backups, and that too for free. This went on for five years until now. If you have used up above 15 GB for storage on your Google Photos account, get ready to pay for it. This change in the policy will take place from the 1st of June, 2021.

However, this is not it. There are a bunch of other new Google Drive policies that are to be introduced on the same day. The documents of Google Workspace and spreadsheets are now to be counted.

According to one of its policies, Google will also be deleting an account that has remained to be inactive. Yes! If you have not logged into your account for about two years, it will get deleted.

Google Photos Or Some Other? Decide Now!

Only those photos and documents will be taken into consideration, that you will be uploading after the 1st of June. The ones that you have saved before the given date, will not be counted against the 15GB cap. This gives you a lot of time to choose the app that you will want to use as a storage provider, for the future.

However, in case you continue using Google Photos, you are likely to get alerts as you approach the 15GB cap.

Google Photos, from the 1st of June, 2021, will simply cause you to fret about your phone storage
