Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer recently partnered with a well-known NFT community that surrounds CLONE-X and Bored Ape Yacht Club. This has led to the introduction of a smartwatch that usually displays NFTs and also connects to quite a few crypto wallets such as Ledger Live and MetaMask.
The company stated that the functionality of the Connected Calibre E4 will be quite straight- with the NFTs being transferred through a paired smartphone. The device has also been set to support most of the animate as well as stating NFT artwork- with multiple NFTs that can be transferred to the watch at any point of time. The watchmaker also stated that the artwork could further be resized and placed with three readily available designs set within the watch.
Tag Heuer Has Brought Out The NFT Smartwatch
Tag Heuer also outlined the current capabilities of the smartwatch along with the procedure of how it readily handled NFT artworks. The blog post stated that several NFTs were still images, while the rest were animated GIFs.
The watch face of the smartwatch will be supporting both of the formats in extreme crisp detail- with the animations looping constantly. Interestingly, the smartwatch would also possess the ability to connect to any blockchain and then verify the NFTs that have been owned by the wearer. The company also went on to describe the feature in their announcement- where they stated that most of the verified NFTs are regularly displayed in a hexagon filled with a particle cloud that gravitates around the image.
The new NFT functionality of the Tag Heuer smartwatch has been set to be available as a free update to all the Calibre E4 owners through Google Play as well as Apple’s App Store.
Tag Heuer, on their part, has continued to grow in the Web3 space that utilizes a team of in-house developers for most of the projects which are related to blockchain.
