RHOSLC star Jen Shah’s sentencing in a fraud case has been postponed. While Jen Shah’s husband was in court with her on Thursday, he did not discuss the case. The couple has been married since 2007 and has two twin daughters together.
While Jen Shah is known for her acting career, her husband works as a real estate agent. He is also listed as the founder of the non-profit organization Charity Water.
The sentencing of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Sha was postponed this week, but not because she got a better deal.
The judge agreed to postpone her sentencing by a month so that she can get her affairs in order before going to prison. And since it’s unlikely that Shafer will be paroled any time soon, we’re guessing the extra time is just as much about giving herself enough breathing room before being locked away as it is allowing her to tie up loose ends or make peace with loved ones.
Jen Shah gets Some More Time
The 46-year-old former real estate agent was arrested along with her husband Vince Shah after they were accused of committing loan fraud back in 2017 by using straw buyers who failed to repay fraudulent mortgages taken out by their clients between 2010 and 2014—including one couple who had $1 million worth of equity but somehow still faced foreclosure because it appears they didn’t see any red flags when they signed off on the paperwork (ahem).
The statement reads:
“Bravo and Evolution Media are saddened by this situation involving [Jen] and remain steadfast in their commitment to ‘Shahs’ as an aspirational family show.” “We recognize the many people who have been impacted by this situation and respect those who have made their voices heard.”
“It is with great sorrow,” they continued, “that we announce that beginning immediately there will be no new episodes of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ We hope you understand our decision not to move forward with production at this time.”
