The “Dancing With the Stars” judge, Carrie Ann Inaba has shared her condolences for Aaron Carter after his tragic death.
Inaba posted a picture of herself with Carter and his brother Nick on Instagram. She captioned the image: ‘I’m sad to hear about Aaron’s passing, he was so sweet and I will miss his smiling face. RIP.’
‘I am so sad about the loss of Aaron Carter. He was so talented and such an inspiration to me at such a young age. I remember him being one of my first crushes as a kid watching him on TV,’ she wrote in an Instagram post on Monday night. ‘He was also one of my first friends in this business! The former Dancing With The Stars judge also shared photos of Carter and herself together from their time on the show, which aired from 2005-2009.

The Dancing With the Stars judge posted a heartbroken message about her former DWTS contestant on Instagram, just hours after he was found unresponsive in his home by police. ‘I am so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to his family,’ she wrote. ‘He will be missed by many!’
Inaba posted an old photo of herself with Carter and his brother Nick from when they were younger. She captioned it: “Rip Aaron Carter,” tagging both brothers as well as fellow DWTS alum David Ross (who also passed away in February).
While many fans were shocked by news of the death, it’s been a difficult year for Inaba: in addition to losing Ross and now Carter, she also lost beloved pet dog, Einstein — all within just two months back in February!
