The ex-assistant of Britney Spears hasn’t been in contact with the pop star despite the singer being freed from her conservatorship after 13 years. Felicia Culotta, in her interview with Page Six, stated that she hadn’t spoken to Spears in quite a while. The native of Louisiana, who was by the singer’s side in the early days of her pop career- also went on to add that even though they hadn’t been in touch over the last decade- it wasn’t due to anything on her part.

Britney Spears’ Assistant Had A Fall Out

Culotta mentioned that she was always writing to the singer- as she loved handwritten letters. She also hoped that the singer would be receiving her letters someday. She knew that Spears hadn’t been in possession of these letters due to the conservatorship- but now there was a possibility of it. For those who are unaware, the 40-year-old pop singer was in a very restrictive conservatorship from 2008 to 2021

During this period, Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was named her conservator and was in complete control of her personal and financial affairs- including individuals she communicated with. When the #FreeBritney movement hit social media hard, several documentaries were in place that explored the injustices brought about by guardianship that was court-appointed. The ex-assistant had been featured in the documentary “Framing Britney Spears” on FX and Hulu and in the New York Times’ “Controlling Britney Spears”. In her interview, she also stated that a lot of the backlash that Jamie Spears received had been well-deserved.

Speaking about Britney Spears’ conservatorship, and Jamie Spears’ role in it, Culotta stated that this was karma. She believes that Karma would be getting every single thing that was bad- where karma will also be taking care of it. This ex-assistant saw the rise of Britney from the front, and reminisced about Britney working with Max Martin, who also produced a few pieces for “& Juliet”.
