The James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan has been through a lot in his life and career, but one thing he’s never had to worry about is how he will be as a grandparent. It turns out that being a grandparent is just as fun for him as it is for any other loving parent! This week, the 61-year-old actor took to Twitter to celebrate the birth of his fourth grandchild with his wife Keely Shaye Smith.
Pierce Brosnan is a famous actor. He was born in Navan, Ireland, the son of a nurse and a carpenter. He has been married to Keely Shaye Smith since 2001, and they have four children together: Dylan Thomas (born in 2003), Paris Beckett (born in 2007), Charlotte Grace (born in 2009), and Christopher James (born in 2012).
In 2013, his daughter Charlotte died from complications from the rare disease Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure and stunted growth. Pierce spoke out about her death later that year on Larry King Live: “It was terrible…I just remember her being taken away on the gurney.”

Pierce Brosnan Celebrates With Family
Brosnan has four grandchildren: Dylan Thomas (born in 2012), Paris Beckett (born in 2015), and twin boys Finn and Robby Flynn (born earlier this year). He also has two children of his own: Charlotte Grace, who was born in 2003; and Christopher Brosnan, who was born in 1988 and passed away from cancer at the age of 42 on May 28th 2010 after a battle lasting over three years.
Baby arrivals are always exciting, and this one is no exception. Eddie Murphy’s wife Paige Butcher has given birth to a baby girl named Izzy Oona Murphy. The couple’s first child together will be joining their son Max Charles, who was born in 2012 and their daughter Bria Angelina born in 2016. “We’re so happy to welcome our new addition,” the couple said in an Instagram post announcing the news. “Have loved being grandparents since Max was born and now we are even more excited! Can’t wait to meet you Izzie!”
This isn’t the first time Pierce Brosnan has welcomed a grandchild into his family: He also has two grandchildren from his daughter Charlotte (born in 1980) and one grandchild from his son Sean.
