“Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” is returning on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries with a new Aurora.
The network revealed on Thursday that the brand would return with a fresh prequel series, “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New,” scheduled to air later this year. Young Aurora will be portrayed by Skyler Samuels, and young Arthur will be portrayed by Evan Roderick. As Aida Teagarden, Marilu Henner will make a comeback. After Aurora graduates from college and returns to Lawrenceton, “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something Fresh” takes place.

“As her mother, Aida battles to keep her new real estate firm afloat, Aurora sustains herself by laboring as a teacher’s assistant inside a crime fiction class during the day and waitressing at the local eatery at night, when she discusses her interest in studying true crime with her bff Sally and police officer Arthur,” according to Hallmark.
“Maid of Honor Aurora asks Arthur to assist her in her search for Sally’s fiancé after he fails to appear at their wedding rehearsal. Everyone believes Sally’s late groom is responsible for the body when it is found, yet when it comes out that it’s someone else, Sally’s fiance is the prime suspect.
When asked about returning to the “Aurora Teagarden” series in September, Bure said that Great American Family “would like to revisit,” but added that “it is about putting pieces of the puzzle together.” Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Hallmark who now serves as the GAF’s president and CEO, continued, “The universe she created with Aurora Teagarden was just something incredibly remarkable, and absolutely something we would want nothing more than to produce more of.”
The maid of honor, Aurora, enlists Arthur’s assistance in finding Sally’s fiancé after he fails to show up for their wedding rehearsal.
