The actor went down for a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, which was posted on Thursday (March 16), and raved about the advice that the “Let us Get Loud” singer has been able to provide him after a few trying years in the spotlight. When asked why he is not on social media, Affleck replied, “My wife’s a master at it. I am not sure if anyone knows Insta better than she does.” Lopez came to some conclusions about why he kept his life private, according to the two-time Oscar winner.

“She thinks that due to situations that I have had, I have become quite guarded. And she is correct. “I regard these issues as mine, where even if you say one bad way, your career may be finished,” Affleck opined. “I had a pretty horrible situation where I gave an interview in which I felt really sensitive, and the whole pickup wasn’t just appropriate, but it was the exact reverse of what I meant.”
The traumatic episode in question is Ben Affleck’s interview on The Howard Stern Show in 2021, during which he linked his alcoholism to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Later that year, during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor explained his comments, claiming that articles were twisted around for “clickbait” and distorted his comments into him accusing his wife of his drinking.
Air, Ben Affleck’s next self-directed drama, will be released next. The film, which follows sports administrator Sonny Vaccaro and Nike as they try to land one of fashion’s most lucrative collaborations with basketball rookie Michael Jordon, is set to debut at SXSW on March 18 and hit theatres on April 5.
