The first of a two-part adaptation of a hit musical will release in the theaters in November next year. Jeff Goldblum has already confirmed his role in it.
The seventy years old actor said that he will be the wizard in the hit musical Wicked’s adaptation in films during his appearance in the Jimmy Kimmel Live show last Thursday. Jeff Goldblum said that he was on the sets of the movie. Even though he was not supposed to talk about it, it has been a open secret for the showbiz.
The star of the Jurassic Park franchise said that Jimmy Kimmel showed the film to his kids. However, the classic was not a hit movie back then. Jeff said that he showed them this classic movie that was one of his favorite movies. However, he said that the movie was scary for his kids. Jeff Goldblum said that Margaret Hamilton, the witch in the movie is terrifying for him too.
Jeff Goldblum Reveals His Next Project
Jeff Goldblum said that they should see the witches of the movie he is a part of now. He said that they have played their roles perfectly as well.
Ariana Grande and Erivo have been casted for the movie back in 2021. In September last year, Jonathan Bailey also announced taking up a part in the franchise as well. He will be playing Fiyero, the love interest of the movie.
Even though Jeff Goldblum did not stepped inside many details of the movie, he said that as a child he was fearful of witches as he used to get nightmares. He said that those problems reincarnated again while shooting for this film. The Variety in October reported Jeff Goldblum was to take the role of the wizard in the movie.
