Brendan Fraser received praise from Rachel Weisz for his impressive victory. Rachel Weisz revealed to a prominent source that she sent a text to Fraser after having received an Oscar under the Finest Actor category for his work in the movie The Whale the previous month. Weisz and Fraser starred together in 1999’s The Mummy and its 2001 sequel The Mummy Returns. Rachel Weisz on his victory said that she was overjoyed and just simply pleased.
Rachel Weisz previously had a nine-year romance with the director of The Whale, Darren Aronofsky. Henry, 16, is the child they share; they separated in 2010. The ‘Disobedience” actress, recently expressed her excitement for Fraser and his reappearance in an interview with Net-a-digital Porter’s magazine Porter. Saying that she was incredibly happy about his win and that she felt as if a new chapter in his life had begun.

He spoke about how making that movie had been challenging since the fun element of “The Mummy” was missing in its remake. The new seemed to be a straight-up horror movie which he believed took away from its excitement.
