James Corden’s final episode of The Late Late Show won’t feature One Direction.

Fans of One Direction were overjoyed on Thursday when a supposed rumor of a possible reunion of the band started to circulate online. However, it had later been revealed by the show’s Twitter account that even though nobody loves the one direction members more than they do, the story of the reunion was simply not true. They further stated that regardless of One Direction, they had a fantastic two hours of finale episode planned, celebrating the journey of eight years of the Late Late Show on 27th April at 10 pm. The post also included a picture of the band over which“False Alarm” was written.

James Corden Opens Up About Leaving The Late Late Show 

James Corden, 44, the incredible host of the show, made his resignation from the Late Late Show, which is a comedy talk show, official around April. In one of his recent interviews, Corden revealed his decision to quit the Late Late Show after having been a part of it for eight years.

He further added that he was thrilled to have been able to extend for so long since the initiative was only to keep it going for only five years however, although a difficult decision to take, it was something he had been wondering for a while, adding that he was extremely proud of what the show has become and the joyful workspace it provided him with.

And as far as his connection with the One Direction boys, which included Liam Payne Zyan Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, is concerned, he has always been open about his affection and admiration for all of them and has invited them on the show both as an ensemble as well as solo performers. Can we even forget that one episode of the Carpool Karaoke with One Direction?

After that episode even, the bad without Zyan Malik made their appearance on the show and later Harry Styles, Nial Horan, and others have worked with Corden on multiple occasions.
