BlockSec, a Blockchain security tech firm, has recently launched a new toolkit that would enable the collaborative testing on multiple private chains that have been forked from several arbitrary positions- as well as blocking numbers on the Ethereum mainnet.

The developer and security researcher-focused toolkit has been dubbed the Phalcon Fork, which was launched on the 14th of April. Phalcon Fork also aims at providing far greater control over work that is being conducted on most testnets, such as transaction analysis, testing, and debugging. In the user manual, the security tech firm has declared that the extra control comes from being capable of easily forking positions and blocking numbers.

BlockSec Has Teased A New Toolkit

The user manual from Phalcon Fork mentions that compared with the traditional solutions like Goerli, the Phalcon Fork also has the following advantages- it would be retaining services and states from the mainnet, which would then facilitate the rapid integration, as well as the debugging with other DeFi contracts. With this toolkit from BlockSec, users would also utilize multiple features such as snapshots, which would enable them to save certain blockchain positions and revert at will during their testing processes.

In order to directly interact with the chains, as well as execute multiple transactions, the Phalcon Fork from BlockSec would be providing a remote procedure call node called the Fork RPC, which can be integrated with the Ethereum Virtual Machine- compatible development frameworks such as Foundry, Hardhat, and Remix, or added to MetaMask. Currently, users are only capable of forking from the mainnet of Ethereum- however, any form of future support for additional blockchains- has been teased.
