Your SSDI or Social Security Disability Insurance money will be coming in May. The Social Security Administration frequently issues checks in rounds throughout the entire month, with the first check in May being disbursed on the 4th for those who have received their benefits since 1997 or before.
For those who are wondering about the date of their payment, the arrival of the money will be heavily dependent on two things- the year you first started receiving the money, and the date of your birth. One also needs to take into account that the SSDI also follows a schedule that is quite similar to the payments of Social Security, unless one has been receiving SSDI checks for quite a few decades now.
SSDI Payments Will be Coming From This Month Onwards
If one has been a recipient of SSDI since 1997 or before, the payment should ideally arrive on the third day of each month. There are obviously certain exceptions, as it stands. So, if the third day of the month ends up on a holiday or weekend, the payment will be made on the nearest business day. For example, 3rd June will be falling on Saturday 2023, so the beneficiaries will be receiving their payments on 2nd June, Friday.
For those who haven’t previously received their SSDI money since 1997- will be following the same schedule as that of Social Security. In this case, if one’s birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, the payment will be issued on the second Wednesday of the month. If one’s birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of the month, the payment will be distributed on the third Wednesday of the month. And if the birthday falls between the 21st and 31st of the month, individuals will find their payment being issued out on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
