Apple’s Participation at This Year’s Web Summit

“For the past forty years, Apple has incorporated accessibility into its design ethos. It is a fundamental principle at Apple, embedded in every product, service, and aspect of the company,” states the event overview (via iFeed.pt).

With a tenure at Apple since 2003 and her role as senior director of accessibility initiatives starting in 2015, Herrlinger is set to discuss the impact of AI on user experiences for those with disabilities, among other subjects.

“Join Sarah Herrlinger, Apple’s global head of accessibility, to learn about innovative approaches developed through designs that accommodate users with disabilities, how AI and machine learning are enhancing experiences for disabled individuals, and why Apple holds that accessibility is a fundamental human right.”

This marks Apple’s recurring involvement in the Web Summit, which has previously featured notable figures such as Dr. Sumbul Desai, Apple’s VP of health, and Craig Federighi, the head of software engineering at Apple.

Herrlinger’s presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, at 2:50 p.m. Lisbon time. More information can be found on the official Web Summit website.
