Apple Music has revealed that Billie Eilish is its 2024 Artist of the Year, making her the first artist to earn this title on two occasions. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Apple’s announcement:
Today, Billie Eilish has been recognized as Apple Music’s Artist of the Year, celebrating her remarkable influence throughout 2024.
After her historic second Academy Award victory and earning two more GRAMMY Awards for her work on Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie, specifically for the song “What Was I Made For?,” Billie released her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. This project showcases her evolution as a generational talent, blending vulnerability with boldness — marking the pinnacle of her musical journey. Upon its debut, the album topped Apple Music’s all-genre albums chart across 138 countries globally.
This announcement signifies not just Eilish’s second Academy Award win this year, but also her second Apple Music Artist of the Year accolade. She originally took home this honor in 2019, the inaugural year of the Apple Music Awards.
Since the beginning of her career, Eilish has had a strong partnership with Apple Music, a sentiment she expressed in her acceptance statement:
“Since the start, Apple Music has been a pillar of support for my music and artistry, and I feel both honored and grateful to receive this honor as Artist of the Year after all these years,” Billie shared with Apple Music.
