The acclaimed Apple sci-fi series Severance will launch an official companion podcast coinciding with the arrival of its second season. This new podcast will be led by the show’s director, Ben Stiller, alongside actor Adam Scott (who portrays Mark). Listeners can also expect contributions from other cast members, including Britt Lower (Helly) and Zach Cherry, in addition to show creator Dan Erickson.
Scheduled to premiere on January 7th, the podcast will feature daily episodes that discuss each episode of Severance’s first season. Following this, it will transition to weekly episodes in tandem with the release of each new episode in season two. For reference, the second season of Severance is set to launch on January 17, with fresh episodes airing every Friday.
The newly introduced Severance podcast is a production of Audacy Podcasts, known for their work on the official Foundation podcast.
In addition to the cast, the podcast will include appearances by celebrity fans of Severance, such as Jon Stewart.
It is not yet confirmed whether the Severance podcast will be produced in collaboration with Apple and branded as an Apple TV+ Original Podcast, but this appears to be a strong possibility.
