This weekend, Apple is hosting an exciting promotion at select Apple Stores as holiday shopping heats up.
In various locations including San Francisco, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York City, live artists will be on hand to personalize gift bags for Apple customers…
The live artists will be available at these four Apple Stores from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time on both Saturday and Sunday:
- Apple Union Square, San Francisco, CA
- Apple Aventura, Miami, FL
- Apple The Grove, Los Angeles, CA
- Apple Fifth Avenue, New York, NY
Customers at these locations can have their gift bags personalized by a live artist. Check out the details of each artist below.

Erik Marinovich – @erikmarinovoich
- San Francisco-based lettering artist and designer Erik Marinovich, co-founder of Friends of Type, has been creating letters, logos, and type for various brands since 2009. In 2012, he co-founded Title Case, a creative workspace for workshops and lectures. Between client projects, teaching, and personal pursuits, Erik is also known for promoting Keep Fresh Stay Rad and Let’s Go Letter Hunting, two recent releases from Friends of Type published by Princeton Architectural Press.

Jackson Alves – @letterjack
- Jackson Alves is a Brazilian calligraphy and lettering artist based in Orlando. After graduating in graphic design in 2003, he has dedicated the last twelve years exclusively to letterforms, collaborating with clients across various countries. His accolades include awards at the 10th and 12th Graphic Design Biennial in Brazil and a “Certificate of Typographic Excellence” from the Type Directors Club in NYC. His work is included in the permanent collection of The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow.

Katrina Centeno-Nguyen – @calligkatrina
- Calligraphy Katrina, founded in 2007 by Katrina Centeno-Nguyen, is a calligraphy firm renowned for its artistry. Beginning with a wedding envelope project at age 19, Katrina quickly gained recognition in the luxury wedding industry, museums, and top fashion houses like Vogue, Dior, Ferragamo, and Chanel.

Lynne Yun – @lynneyun
- Lynne Yun is a type designer, educator, and technologist based in NYC. She founded Space Type, a studio that merges type and technology, and co-founded Type Electives, an online design school focused on the future of typography.
