Today, Apple unveiled the official trailer for the long-awaited second season of its acclaimed drama series ‘Severance’, set to premiere on January 17 on Apple TV+.
From the brief glimpses provided in the trailer, it seems the new season will continue immediately from the intense conclusion of the first season. If you’ve forgotten the key events from season one, considering it aired over 1000 days ago, now would be the perfect time to catch up …
The lengthy three-year gap between seasons was caused by various factors, including industry strikes, reshoots, and conflict among executive producers. Throughout this time, the series garnered significant praise from critics and audiences, with the finale of the first season achieving one of the highest episode ratings on IMDB.
Season two of Severance will be released on a weekly basis, starting with the premiere episode on Friday, January 17. Following that, new episodes will be available every Friday. While season one featured nine episodes, the second season will consist of ten, culminating in the season finale on March 21. A renewal for a third season is anticipated, although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
