The start of 2025 is fast approaching, and Apple appears to have an exciting announcement in store for Apple TV+ during the first weekend of the year. The company is generating buzz on social media with hints about a significant reveal, encouraging fans to “save the date.”
Upcoming Mysterious Announcement for Apple TV+ in January 2025
Apple has launched a campaign featuring clips from various Apple TV+ shows accompanied by the tagline “See for yourself.” The anticipated event is set for January 4 and 5, 2025, although specific details about the announcement remain under wraps. This could serve as a glimpse into the future offerings of Apple TV+ for the year ahead.
Nonetheless, there are theories that the event may be more significant than expected. With the slogan “See for yourself,” some speculate that Apple could provide free access to Apple TV+ content during the weekend. In the past, particularly in 2020, Apple had allowed users to watch selected content for free for a limited time.
This week, Apple TV+ also unveiled an eight-minute sneak peek of the second season of Severance, which premieres nearly three years after the conclusion of its first season. The teaser is available in the Apple TV app under the “Bonus Content” section of Severance, titled “Season 2 Sneak Peek.”
Since its debut in 2019 with a limited selection of original films and series, Apple TV+ has grown to offer about 270 titles. The platform has already garnered numerous prestigious awards since its inception. Currently, the subscription in the US costs $9.99 per month, with options for a seven-day free trial or up to three months free when purchasing a new Apple device.
