Every year, various companies launch special items inspired by the zodiac signs to celebrate the New Year in Japan. In anticipation of 2025 being the Year of the Snake, Apple has introduced a limited edition AirTag featuring a distinctive snake design.
Apple honors the Year of the Snake in Japan with exclusive AirTag and gift cards
Apple’s Japanese website has been refreshed to highlight the New Year’s promotion, scheduled from January 2nd to 5th. Shoppers in Japan will receive Apple gift cards valued up to ¥30,000 (approximately $190) with the purchase of new Apple products like the iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The value of the gift card varies depending on the selected product.
Here’s a list of qualifying products:
- Beats Solo Buds, Studio Buds+, and Beats Flex: Gift card worth up to ¥6,000
- Magic Keyboard for iPad and Apple Pencil (2nd gen and Pro): Gift card worth up to ¥6,000
- Apple TV 4K and HomePod: Gift card worth up to ¥8,000
- iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone SE: Gift card worth up to ¥11,000
- Apple Watch SE, Series 10, and Ultra 2: Gift card worth up to ¥11,000
- AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Max: Gift card worth up to ¥12,000
- 10th gen iPad, M2 iPad Air, and M4 iPad Pro: Gift card worth up to ¥15,000
- M2 and M3 MacBook Air: Gift card worth up to ¥30,000
Additionally, the first 50,000 customers who purchase a new iPhone 14, iPhone 15, or iPhone SE during the promotional period will receive a limited edition AirTag commemorating the Year of the Snake. Unfortunately, Apple will not be selling the Year of the Snake AirTag separately.
It’s worth noting that some of Apple’s premium products, including the iPhone 16 and MacBook Pro, are excluded from this promotion, as is the newly released iPad mini 7.
