AT&T to Compensate Customers During Network Outages

As 2025 begins, AT&T has launched the “AT&T Guarantee” initiative, which the company claims will “raise the standard” for customer and network service. The key highlight of this announcement? AT&T will now provide credits in the event of a network outage …

AT&T has specified two types of customers who qualify for these credits:

  • Fiber customers experiencing an outage lasting 20 minutes or more
  • Wireless customers who face an outage of 60 minutes or longer (as long as the outage is connected to a single incident affecting 10 or more towers).

In these cases, AT&T states that affected customers will automatically receive a bill credit equal to one full day of service.

In the event of a network disruption, we are committed to swiftly restoring service for fiber customers who endure interruptions of 20 minutes or more and for wireless customers facing outages of 60 minutes or longer. Affected consumers will automatically get a bill credit for one day of service, and we will reach out to small business clients with various options to ensure satisfaction.

This announcement follows Spectrum’s introduction of a similar program last September.

Additional features of the new AT&T Guarantee program include:

  • More transparent terms for promotions on wireless and fiber services.
  • Enhanced customer support: Connect with a tech expert in under 5 minutes or arrange a callback at your convenience.
