Until now, Grok was integrated within a social media platform, but starting today, US users can download the standalone Grok AI app on both iPhone and iPad. More regions will be added as the rollout progresses.
What is Grok?
Grok is a generative AI solution that functions similarly to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. It allows for conversational interactions, image creation, and text summarization.
Somewhat confusingly, Grok is a creation of xAI, the company led by Elon Musk, which aims to provide competition to OpenAI. The xAI chatbot has been embedded within the X app and website, formerly known as Twitter, which is also under Musk’s ownership.
