Apple announced today that its global active device count has reached a remarkable new figure, although the growth rate for active devices has declined compared to last year.
Currently, there are 2.35 billion Apple devices in active use worldwide. This milestone marks an increase from 2.2 billion as of January 2024, representing a 6.8% growth rate with 150 million new devices added over the year.
Back in January 2023, Apple reported exceeding 2 billion active devices, setting a prior record. Thus, the company added 200 million devices from 2023 to 2024, achieving a 10% growth rate.
Apple is optimistic about the growth potential from the launch of Apple Intelligence in China, slated for April. The upcoming iOS 18.4 will feature support for Simplified Chinese and additional languages.
According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, sales of the iPhone 16 have surpassed those of the iPhone 15 in regions where Apple Intelligence is available.
