A few months back, Apple revealed that Kendrick Lamar would be the headliner for the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show scheduled for February 6th. At the Grammys last night, Kendrick Lamar celebrated the addition of five more Grammys to his impressive collection, bringing his total to 22! With his rising star, Apple has introduced several Kendrick Lamar-themed workouts for Fitness+ users.
Fitness+ Featuring Kenrick Lamar
As a committed Fitness+ user for several years, I’ve enjoyed my fitness journey since starting in early 2021. I began with short 5-minute workouts, aiming for one a day. Over time, I was able to invest more minutes and explore the diverse array of workouts Fitness+ offers. From walking and running sessions to strength training and yoga, I found plenty of options to keep it engaging.
Apple decided to enhance the experience by offering artist-centric workouts. Instead of a mix of tracks from various artists, these sessions feature the music of one artist. One of my favorites is the 30-minute run with Scott that showcases The Weeknd—it’s pure joy! Now, they’re doing something similar with Kendrick Lamar! Apple Fitness+ has rolled out five unique workouts with varying durations led by different instructors, all featuring tracks from Kendrick’s discography:
- 20-minute Pilates with Darryl
- 20-minute Strength with Kim
- 30-minute Yoga with Jonelle
- 30-minute Cycling with Kym
- 30-minute Kickboxing with Jamie-ray
While I would have loved a running session with Scott included, I’m particularly eager to try Kim’s strength workout!
Pricing & Availability
To access these workouts, you must be an active Fitness+ subscriber. Currently, Apple is offering a one-month free trial of Fitness+, allowing you to experience these Kendrick-themed workouts throughout February. After the trial, the subscription will cost $9.99 monthly. Alternatively, like myself, you can opt for Apple One Premier, which bundles Fitness+ among other services. Pricing details for that are provided below.
The workouts are available now for you to try! Are you currently a subscriber to Apple Fitness+? Have you used it in the past? Would the addition of these new themed workouts entice you to give it a shot? Let’s chat in the comments!
