After much speculation, it seems Apple is finally gearing up to unveil the revamped iPhone SE 4. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has reported that the new budget iPhone may see an announcement as soon as next week:
According to sources familiar with the situation, the company anticipates announcing the device next week, with sales expected to commence later in the month.
Gurman also notes that Apple is unlikely to host a launch event for the iPhone SE 4.
This indicates that the revamped iPhone SE could be the sole new product slated for release next week.
Apple is anticipated to transition the iPhone SE to a fresh design, eliminating the Home button for a full-screen layout equipped with Face ID and replacing the Lightning port with USB-C.
The upcoming iPhone SE is expected to feature the A18 chip and adopt the design similar to that of the iPhone 14.
Currently, Apple’s third-generation iPhone SE is based on the iPhone 8 model from 2017. Moreover, the new iPhone SE is expected to leverage Apple Intelligence, putting it in line with the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 series.
Arguably the most substantial change will be on the inside. Apple is believed to be replacing Qualcomm modems with its proprietary chip for cellular connectivity, marking a first for the company.
