Bloomberg has recently indicated that Apple is preparing to unveil the new iPhone SE 4 imminently, possibly as soon as next week. Additionally, Mark Gurman’s report mentioned that stock levels of the iPad Air and MacBook Air at Apple Stores worldwide are “dwindling,” hinting at the potential release of new products shortly.
Apple Set to Release New iPads and Macs Soon
Speculation about upcoming iPads and Macs is not a new phenomenon. In fact, discussions about refreshed iPad and MacBook Air models have been circulating for some time. While it remains uncertain if these devices will launch alongside the iPhone SE 4 in the next few days, Gurman notes the diminishing inventory of “iPad Air and MacBook Air at Apple retail locations.”
Typically, when stock levels of a product start to drop in Apple Stores, it signals that a new version is on the horizon. The latest M4 chip is expected to feature in both the new iPad Air and MacBook Air. Beyond that, no significant hardware or design alterations are anticipated for this year’s models.
Reports also suggest Apple is developing the iPad 11, the latest iteration of its entry-level tablet. Similar to the iPad Air, this version isn’t expected to have significant updates, except for a more powerful processor, likely the same A17 Pro found in the iPad mini 7, which will finally enable Apple Intelligence support on the budget-friendly iPad. Therefore, individuals contemplating the purchase of a new iPad or MacBook might consider waiting for these announcements.
According to the report, Apple is not planning to host an event for the launch of the iPhone SE 4 (and possibly the new Macs and iPads as well). In recent years, the company has opted to release short videos that showcase new devices without a formal event, so this trend is expected to continue.
