Apple Sports Expands Offerings with Addition of NASCAR and MLB Spring Training to the App

The Apple Sports app continues to roll out frequent updates on the App Store. Just a fortnight ago, the app introduced new information on where to watch national games along with enhanced navigation shortcuts. Today, the latest release, version 2.5, now includes support for NASCAR and is prepared for MLB’s Spring Training.

Apple Sports Update: Version 2.5 Brings Two New Features

Since its debut last February, Apple Sports has emerged as one of the most frequently updated applications from Apple. It has quickly become my favorite app for tracking scores, and I particularly appreciate its Live Activity feature on both iOS and watchOS.

Now, NASCAR enthusiasts can rely on the app to stay informed about their beloved sport.

If you follow baseball, you can monitor all the action of MLB Spring Training directly from the app or even from your iPhone Lock Screen.

Below are the release notes for today’s version 2.5:

  • Start your engines! NASCAR is now integrated into Apple Sports, featuring live race coverage and leaderboard updates, beginning with the Daytona 500.
  • Spring Training is underway! Track your favorite teams as they gear up for the MLB season.

If you haven’t tried Apple Sports yet, you can find it available for download on the App Store.

It’s exciting to see the Sports app continually improve. My next big wish: an iPad version!
