Adam Kinzinger Challenges Trump: “Bring It On or Stay Silent for Good”

If someone were to say “bring it” in today’s world, I would recognize that I’ve made a mistake. The real question is whether Donald Trump will come to this realization regarding Adam Kinzinger.

Kinzinger, a Republican, is unafraid to confront the president. It’s a bit surprising, but it’s refreshing to witness someone display courage. Recently, Kinzinger has repeatedly challenged Trump over attacks on his involvement in the January 6 committee. Once again, Trump is targeting Kinzinger, who has made it evident that he’s ready for the confrontation.

He took to his own Substack to express that Trump is merely “griping and playing the victim” concerning the situation. He went so far as to say that Trump is acting like “some kind of tough guy while simultaneously whining about life’s unfairness. His latest outburst? A threat not to acknowledge the pardons related to the January 6th committee.”

Kinzinger criticized Trump for his actions, arguing that the President is obviously just bluffing. Additionally, Kinzinger emphasized that the committee consisted of Republicans who stood firm in defending what he believed to be American rights in relation to January 6.

“The January 6 Committee fulfilled its duty. It defended democracy while Trump and his followers sought to undermine it. The individuals who cooperated did so in the pursuit of truth, accountability, and the preservation of our republic,” he noted. “They were predominantly REPUBLICANS, and now, because he can’t cope with reality, Trump wants to puff out his chest and threaten the committee? Go ahead. Do it. Or be quiet.”

Much of Kinzinger’s piece addressed how Trump tends to threaten those who oppose him and how, in reality, Trump will likely follow through with none of his threats. This reflects what many of us have been saying for years. It’s rather refreshing to see a Republican stand up to Trump.
