COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) — BankFirst, headquartered in Columbus, is moving forward with the acquisition of a bank situated in south Mississippi.
The agreement between BankFirst and Magnolia State Bank was announced on the morning of Friday, March 21.
Both boards have given their unanimous approval for the transaction, which is anticipated to be finalized in the third quarter of 2025.
BankFirst operates several locations across Mississippi and Alabama.
Magnolia State Bank is headquartered in Bay Springs, with branches throughout southern Mississippi.
