A Safer Approach to Capitalizing on Bitcoin Volatility (BATS:BITX)

My primary focus is on algorithmic trading and trading strategies. I also have a keen interest in macroeconomic themes, particularly since I spent half a year living and studying in Shanghai. This motivates me to explore these subjects with a specific emphasis on China. I am currently one semester away from completing my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and intend to pursue a master’s degree in quantitative finance thereafter. Additionally, I have attended finance-related events such as the Abu Dhabi Finance Week and hold a Level 3 certificate from CISI in Wealth and Investment Management. Over the past two years, while managing investments through the copy trading platform Etoro, I discovered that discussing my investment ideas with fellow investors provided me with greater clarity. This realization inspired me to contribute to Seeking Alpha. So far, my track record has been relatively conservative. At the end of 2020, when I began trading, my portfolio yielded a return of 17.5 percent. Just before the 2022 market crash, I shifted to a market-neutral stance, closing the year with a minor loss of only 0.16 percent. However, I faced my most challenging year shortly thereafter, recording a mere 0.8 percent gain while the market thrived. This experience highlighted the necessity for a systematic approach to market entries and exits, prompting my journey as a quantitative trader. Since then, my portfolio achieved a 12.84 percent return last year with a beta of less than 0.6. This year, I have increased my risk in pursuit of higher investment yields.
