After allegations of sexual abuse surfaced against pop star Aaron Carter, the singer’s book was postponed by publisher Post Hill Press. The book, Fool’s Gold, was scheduled to be published on November 12 and is described as a story about Carter’s “life as America’s ultimate pop prodigy from the height of his fame and chart-topping success to his struggle with substance abuse while dealing with interpersonal demons.” After reviewing publically available information about Carter’s criminal history, however, Post Hill decided to delay the release indefinitely.

The publisher said it had also been in discussions with TV networks about a possible series based on the memoir. In addition to being a singer, songwriter, and producer, Carter has also produced several films including “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

Aaron Carter Mourned By Publisher

In a statement obtained by Page Six, Post Hill Press said, “As part of our due diligence, we conducted a standard background check on Aaron Carter to obtain publicly available information about his criminal history, per our normal protocol.

After reviewing this information, we have decided to delay the release of Aaron Carter’s autobiography until further notice. We will continue researching the allegations against Mr. Carter and will take appropriate action based on our findings.” The publisher of a book by Aaron Carter has postponed the release date, out of respect for Carter. The publisher was also seen to be mourning Carter’s death.

The publishing house Simon & Schuster announced on Friday that “Loving You” won’t be coming out anytime soon. The company hasn’t said why it decided to delay the book’s publication or how long it will be delayed. It says only that the book will be re-scheduled for release when “we feel confident that we can do justice to its contents.”
