After a Nearly Three-Year Wait, Severance Season Two Launches Today on Apple TV+

Severance made its debut in February 2022, almost three years ago. With the first season concluding on a thrilling cliffhanger, fans have been anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Unfortunately, production was significantly delayed due to Hollywood strikes and other various factors.

However, Apple is now set to premiere the second season of Severance on Apple TV+, with the opening episode continuing right from the dramatic conclusion of the first season, at least from the innie perspective.

The upcoming season introduces an array of new cast members to the Macrodata Refinement team, alongside returning favorites Mark, Helly, Dylan, and Irving. Picking up from the dramatic finale of season one, the first episode of season two begins with Mark navigating the complex hallways of Lumon’s severed floor.

With strong critical praise preceding the launch, Severance season two is anticipated to be darker, funnier, and truly “worth the wait.” This season promises to provide fans with long-awaited answers while also expanding the universe of mysteries surrounding Lumon’s true intentions.

For those eager to binge-watch the series, there’s a bit of a wait. Consistent with Apple’s usual approach, season two will be released weekly, with new episodes debuting every Friday. The season finale will air on March 21.

While Apple does not disclose viewership statistics, it seems that Severance season two is poised to become a significant success for the platform. Marketing efforts have ramped up this week, and the three-year gap has allowed ample time for audiences to engage with the series. Severance is also expected to be a strong contender in this year’s television awards season.
