With the birth of his eighth child, Alec Baldwin has reached the pinnacle of fatherhood. PEOPLE confirms that the 64-year-old actor and Hilaria Baldwin, his wife of 15 years, are parents again.
On Thursday, September 22nd, baby girl Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin entered the world. She tipped the scales at 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
“How happy we are to receive our beautiful little baby into this world,” the parents exclusively tell PEOPLE. Like all the previous children God has given us, “she is just as wonderful and full of love as any other.”

And they go on to say, “The rest of her Baldwinito family can not stop talking about how much she resembles each of them. The arrival of little Ilaria has filled us with delight.” On Saturday, Hilaria Baldwin posted a video on Instagram of her and her husband’s newborn daughter with the caption, “Here she is! We are thrilled to finally share our baby with you.”
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have five children: Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, Romeo Alejandro David, Leonardo Angel Charles, Rafael Thomas, and two girls, Maria Lucia Victoria, and Carmen Gabriela. Ireland Baldwin, Alec’s 26-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, also considers him dad. Hilaria’s pregnancy was first reported by PEOPLE in March, and she just shared the news that they were expecting another daughter. The couple discussed their plans for a new baby.
They went on to say, “Our ability to love keeps growing, and we can not wait to welcome our new baby this fall.”
