The 42-year-old aspiring cinematographer Hutchins was shot live on the sets of ‘Rust’ in October 2021 as Alec Baldwin went up to shoot a scene with what he thought was a prop gun that discharged a live round taking the life of the young actress as she received a fatal hit directly to her chest.

In the course of the events Wester Film Director, Joel Souza was also reported to have sustained injuries from the incident but as stated by the DA there would be no charges filed in correlation to the wounds. Baldwin has since denied any accusations to have ever set off the trigger to the prop gun, whereas prosecutors have documented proof in defense that showcases the actor caught live in the act of doing it.
