Apple is all set to kick off 2025 with a bang. A fresh Apple Watch Activity Challenge has been announced for January, inviting you to “Ring in the New Year” by completing all three activity rings for seven consecutive days.
The “Ring in the New Year Challenge” will take place from January 7 to January 31. Apple states:
Ring in the New Year Challenge: Let’s start 2025 off right. Earn this award by closing all three rings for seven days in a row in January.
These Apple Watch Activity Challenges aim to encourage users to utilize their watches for fitness purposes while helping them take full advantage of the workout tracking options available. Apple has hosted this Ring in the New Year Challenge almost every year since 2016.
If you complete the challenge using any workout app that tracks data in Apple’s Fitness app, you’ll earn a virtual achievement accessible on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple’s Messages app. You will also unlock exclusive stickers for use in the Messages app, FaceTime, and more.
You can participate in this challenge using Apple Fitness+, which is Apple’s own workout service offering a range of different content categories.
