QUALIFIED Americans can receive a cash reward of up to $10,000, along with an additional complimentary benefit.
The substantial $7.5 million settlement arises from allegations that the health company Enzo Biochem failed to adequately prevent a data breach.

The data breach in 2023 compromised sensitive patient information, according to allegations in the lawsuit.
This multimillion-dollar settlement is designed for individuals whose personal information may have been leaked during the breach on April 6, 2023.
Those who received a notice by mail from the firm about the data leak may be eligible for compensation.
The plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit asserted that Enzo Biochem failed to adopt adequate cybersecurity measures, which could have prevented the breach.
As a result of the insufficient preventive actions and the subsequent breach, the plaintiffs reportedly faced risks including fraud and identity theft.
Though health company Enzo Biochem did not admit to any wrongdoing, it chose to settle for $7.5 million to resolve the charges.
According to the terms of the Enzo Biochem settlement, class members can claim up to $10,000 for verified losses related to the data breach.
Eligible losses might include unreimbursed fraudulent charges, costs associated with identity theft, expenses for credit monitoring, and other related damages.
Class members who did not incur documented damages can still apply for a cash fund payment, which will be a pro rata share of the net settlement fund after paying out documented loss claims and credit monitoring fees.
No documentation is necessary for these payments.
All class members will receive two years of complimentary credit monitoring and insurance services via Medical Shield Premium, irrespective of the payment method they choose.
The additional benefit beyond the cash will include enhancements to Enzo Biochem’s data security measures.
These enhancements comprise upgrades to their security protocols to better safeguard consumer data.
Improvement measures include multi-factor authentication, data encryption, enhanced intrusion detection, and other policy advancements.
The deadline for exclusion and objections is May 23, 2025.
To obtain settlement benefits, all class members must submit a valid claim form by June 23, 2025.
This follows a recent situation where Americans could claim a payout of up to $995 from a significant fund totaling $1 billion.
The cash payments emerged as the IRS announced that over 1.1 million individuals across the nation had unclaimed refunds for the 2021 tax year.
