She shared new details this week about a 2022 bicycle accident that resulted in a multi-night hospital stay.
The accident which took place last summer when Grant struck a pothole on a ride near Harpeth Hills Golf Course- left the singer unconscious for 10 minutes, she said in a sit-down interview with NBC’s ‘Todays’ show. Doctors at Vanderbilt University Medical Center treated Grant for her injuries last July. wearing a bicycle helmet saved her life she said via ‘Today’ still suffered a brain injury that caused memory loss, according to the interview. After the accident, she began writing memories in a notebook as a way to exercise her mind.
It Took Some Time For Amy Grant To Recover From The Accident
During Amy Grant’s ‘Today’ interview the singer also outlined her bounce back from 2020 heart surgery and a cyst doctors removed from her throat in January. As for how she’s doing after these health concerns, she said she feels fantastic. After all of her health issues, the songstress has maintained a positive outlook on life as she looks toward the future.
