Anne Hathaway, one of the most beloved acting personality, is not a fan of her own name. She revealed this at Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show”, this Tuesday. The star pointed out the fact that she feels really uncomfortable when she is called by the name, Anne.
The Locked Down actor shared an anecdote concerning her name, at the show with the audience. She said that she was supposed to give out her name when she was filming a commercial back when the actor was just 14 years old. Following this, Anne Hathaway gave out her name on the SAG card.

She added that during that time she failed to realize that she would be known as Anne Hathaway from that time onwards, for the rest of her life. The star also pointed out that only her mother calls her by her first name every time she is mad at her. And so, this is the reason why she becomes alert every time when she is called “Anne” out in the public. The actor says that upon hearing someone call her Anne, she is quickly kept on her toes.
The Devil Wears Prada personality revealed the fact that most of her co-stars have given her a bunch of different nicknames throughout her acting career. While sharing the stage with the host, Jimmy Fallon, she shared the fact that she prefers to be called “Annie”.
Anne Hathaway went on to mention that nobody calls her by her first name while she is on set. People either call her Miss H, or Hath. She cleared it out that she is a total Annie and not Anne. Later on the show, when asked about her celebrity crush, the actor called out the name of Leonardo DiCaprio.
