In March, a group of Democratic lawmakers got together to propose the Gas Rebate Act of 2022.
All eligible taxpayers would receive a monthly payment of stimulus check worth $100 under this measure, which would base eligibility conditions on a person’s monthly income.
Additionally, they would get a payment of $100 per month for each eligible dependent to help them pay for the rising cost of gas.
