If you’re having trouble sending or receiving funds using Apple Cash today, you’re not the only one. Apple has announced that its Apple Cash service is encountering a prolonged outage this Wednesday.
This disruption seems to exclusively affect Apple Cash, which serves as Apple’s peer-to-peer payment solution, similar to Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App. Users attempting to access their Apple Cash accounts may encounter a perpetually spinning loading indicator. Furthermore, the Wallet app might prompt you to “Set Up Apple Cash,” even if you have previously used it without any issues.
On a positive note, Apple Pay, the contactless payment service, is reportedly functioning without any problems.
Numerous Apple Cash users have voiced their frustrations on social media regarding the service’s issues. According to Apple’s System Status page, a problem with Apple Cash has been reported since 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT today.
