Apple has announced plans to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, along with the addition of 20,000 new jobs. The tech giant revealed its strategy on Monday.

This initiative includes a new 250,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Houston, expected to commence operations in 2026 and produce servers for Apple’s AI services. Additionally, Apple will set up an educational academy in Michigan focused on manufacturing, while increasing investment in a fund to promote innovation in the U.S.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated, “From doubling our Advanced Manufacturing Fund to establishing advanced technology in Texas, we are excited to enhance our support for American manufacturing. We will continue to collaborate with individuals and companies nationwide to help shape a remarkable new era in American innovation.”

This announcement comes after a recent White House meeting where President Donald Trump and Tim Cook discussed Apple’s potential investment to circumvent tariffs.

Apple currently manufactures most of its products in China, and the president has threatened to impose an additional 10% tax on imports from that region.
