First discovered by Brad Lynch on X, Apple has introduced a new Belkin Head Strap for the Apple Vision Pro, resembling (though not identical to) the one shown during WWDC23. This accessory complements the Solo Knit band.
Update Nov 3: Now ready for purchase, with delivery options starting November 6th. Original announcement below:
The Belkin Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro is priced at $49.95, although it’s not yet available to buy.
This new accessory is characterized as follows:
Boost your Apple Vision Pro experience with an ergonomic and adjustable Head Strap that ensures excellent comfort and stability. With a design that beautifully complements the Solo Knit band, this Head Strap includes a secure locking mechanism and additional stabilization points to keep your Apple Vision Pro steady, even during intense actions.
As previously stated, Apple showcased a similar product at WWDC23 during the Apple Vision Pro reveal, but it was never released. Instead, they opted to launch a more affordable Dual Loop band that included a top strap, although it lacked the mesh fabric found on the Solo Knit band.
Around $50 seems like a reasonable price for this accessory, especially considering many users value the comfort provided by the Solo Knit band but have expressed a desire for added support on top of their heads. Now, there’s an option to enjoy the best of both features. It would have been ideal if this accessory were included in the package.
