Apple’s website has hinted at a new retail location at Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio, by adding a brief three-sentence update to the store’s page.
Prepare yourselves. Exciting developments are ahead. A brand-new Apple Store is set to arrive soon …
The existing store is certainly in need of an upgrade, considering its outdated aluminum exterior and walls that clash with the more modern use of natural elements like wood and stone seen in newer locations.
While specific details are yet to be disclosed, the phrasing appears to suggest the introduction of a new store in the shopping village, and AppleInsider has pointed out more evidence to support this claim.
According to the owners of the shopping village, the current home furnishings retailer Arhaus — which shares the same Crocker Park Boulevard as Apple — is preparing to move and expand within the center. Given the small size of the current Apple Store, along with the evident popularity of the shopping village and the potential for relocation, it’s reasonable to anticipate Apple transitioning to a larger or more prominent space within Crocker Park.
Especially in shopping malls, Apple has embraced a fresh design language that facilitates a seamless, curved transition between the inside and outside.
This concept was first showcased in India.
Apple Saket invites customers with a uniquely designed curved entrance and features white oak tables displaying Apple’s products and accessories, along with a special wall crafted in India.
We have observed the same design philosophy applied to two Apple Stores in China, one located in Shenzhen and the other in Hefei.
It’s quite possible that a similar design strategy will be implemented at Crocker Park.
Details regarding the opening date for the new store have not yet been announced.
