Today marks Veterans Day, and Apple is honoring it through various initiatives. An Apple Watch Activity Challenge is available featuring a limited-time reward, alongside a new Time to Walk episode on Apple Fitness+.
Additionally, you’ll find a banner on Apple’s website expressing gratitude to Veterans for their service, along with information about the Veterans and Military Purchase Program.
The Apple Watch Activity Challenge for Veterans Day invites participants to engage in any workout lasting 11 minutes or more:
Complete this challenge on November 11 by working out for 11 minutes or longer. Track your time with the Workout app or any app that syncs workouts to Health.
Upon successfully finishing the challenge with any workout app that registers data to Apple’s Fitness app, you’ll receive a virtual achievement that can be viewed on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple’s Messages app. You’ll also unlock exclusive stickers for use in the Messages app, FaceTime, and more.
You can participate in the challenge via Apple Fitness+, Apple’s own fitness service that offers a diverse range of content categories.
In relation to Apple Fitness+, a new Time to Walk episode featuring J.R. Martinez, a former U.S. Army soldier, is now available. Apple states:
J.R. Martinez is a veteran of the U.S. Army, an actor, and a motivational speaker. He is known for his role in the daytime soap opera “All My Children” and won season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars.” During his time in the Iraq War, J.R. experienced a life-altering injury. In this episode, he shares how his healing journey led him to reconsider his purpose in life and discusses what motivated a transformative change in how he connects with others.

Lastly, Apple’s website informs shoppers that a 10% discount is offered to both current and Veteran members of the U.S. Military, National Guard, and Reserve. Immediate family members living in the same household are also eligible. Please note that this offer is always available and isn’t limited solely to Veterans Day.
