Apple Launches New Advertisement for Apple TV+ App on Android Devices

On Wednesday, Apple introduced an official Apple TV+ application for Android devices—nearly seven years following the platform’s initial launch. To celebrate this milestone, Apple released a new advertisement announcing the arrival of Apple TV+ on Android.

The 15-second advertisement showcases scenes from several popular Apple TV+ series such as Ted Lasso, Silo, Severance, and The Morning Show. Apple highlights that “exciting dramas, impressive sci-fi, heartfelt comedies, and award-winning originals” are “now available on Android.”

Interestingly, the ad features a moment from Shrinking where the characters discuss the importance of “working together.”

On its official Instagram account, Apple also shared a series of images from Apple TV+ shows with the caption “Now streaming on Android.” Feedback from users in the comments has been overwhelmingly positive, indicating a strong demand for an Apple TV+ app on Android devices.

Previously, Apple Music was the sole Apple service with an Android app. While Apple TV+ could be accessed through a web browser, the experience left much to be desired compared to that of a native application. With the newly launched app, Android users can enjoy content in high definition and have the option to download movies and shows for offline viewing.

The Apple TV+ app for Android can be downloaded from Google Play. The subscription is priced at $9.99 per month in the US, which includes a 7-day free trial. Additionally, users can enjoy Apple TV+ at no charge for three months when they purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.
