Apple Launches Updated Shazam with Enhanced Spotify and Apple Music Integration

Apple has launched a fresh update for Shazam, the music recognition service acquired in 2018. The new version enhances the integration of songs recognized outside the app, adding them to the Shazam playlist on both Apple Music and Spotify.

Here’s what’s included in version 18.9:

We’ve improved the syncing of songs to Apple Music and Spotify! Shazam will now add tracks identified through Music Recognition in Control Center, Siri, and Shortcuts directly to your “My Shazam Tracks” playlist on Apple Music or Spotify.

To refresh all your previously recognized songs in the Shazam app, toggle the “Sync your songs” option off and on in the settings. You might need to reopen Spotify to view the updated playlist.

Make sure to keep your Shazam History secure and synchronized across your devices by activating iCloud sync in the Shazam Settings.

Download the latest version of Shazam available on the App Store.
